Former Head of Service of the Federation Mr. Danladi Kifasi has joined the global community to celebrate public servants working on the frontlines of the COVID-19 pandemic as declared by the United Nations (UN).

In a statement issued in Abuja, Kifasi lauded the selfless sacrifice and sense of the patriotism of all the people in public services, who work in healthcare, social welfare, education, postal delivery, transport, law enforcement, sanitation and others.

“We all owe you as you risk your lives for us all during this pandemic. You are our heroes and the United Nations did well to have set aside today in your honour.

Hailing and drumming support for the Federal Government on the COVID-19 fight, the former Head of Service also urged the citizenry to appreciate the workers by complying with safety protocols.

“We must listen and obey authorities on safety procedures. COVID-19 is real and we must observe protocols as rolled out by the government,” the statement added.
